The end of the road, the leap of faith

I had a dream of us last night
I dreamt it was us at the end
I called you when I woke up
Then I heard a knock of an old friend
I pressed the red bottom
Because it was regret
That was just a dream
In my reality everything came to its end
But what a beautiful treasure it’s to feel loss
Because I felt that much love
I just can’t seem to let go
I hold on
Till my hands burn
I have to break my heart
Till it opens to the world
I don’t know how many nights, hours, days or months
Could be years, could be my eternity like the promise I sold
I’m just not the kind to give up
I can forgive but can’t forget
That’s a curse on it’s very own
The star that belongs to me in this infinite space
Has your name carved, to remind me that it will never end
But you’re not the only name
It has many, some of them I haven’t even met yet
And what a beautiful treasure
Will be to find them someday
Or find you again
When we’re not the same
Different people
But finally the same book and the same page
But I shouldn’t have hope, I know it’s pointless
It’s a one in a million chance we could get
And maybe you don’t even want it
You got everything you wanted when you left
I know I should move on, but my legs don’t work
I’m here stuck at the very end
And what a beautiful treasure to see a cliff
Where the end just means I can start over again
One day, I’ll just give that little step
That little leap of faith

That little leap of faith
Much regret and nostalgia after a relationship that ended.
Despite the hopelessness, there is a spark of hope for the future.

Greetings
