She’s a beautiful girl
with a smile that smiles, almost by itself
and as sweet as dear pears.
She has a pretty mouth
and on her lips, with or without lipstick
fresh and shining, purple and crimson sunsets.
She’s powerful,
so is she that once, she says,
almost caught a fleeting comet by its tail.
There she’s
so silently looking at me,
I smile and she smiles back,
we get close but I can’t find words.
Oh God, in what possible way can we describe
a woman half way around the world, yet, so close to me?
