Why is it so hard to understand freedom?

No unfortunately sometimes we fall in love with people that can provide everything for us except their freedom.
I think sometimes love "sucks" lol, sorry not very diplomatic on my part, but true. We long for love, we crave it
and then it arrives at a very high price...
