I spend the first part
of my days off walking,
hiking/debating if I should
learn how to be a prick and chew
tabaco in order to write mejor poesía.
Even though sunset
is just a few hours away,
the sun brilló cabrón this morning
while the moon sat over the horizon,
like me, watching it, enjoying the moment.
Sunny, yes, though,
it’s cold and dry, but la cafeína
in the coffee is really good, and the view,
just trees and mountains marching down to the east.
Just an idea, and if no one finds it amusing,
too bad, get on your knees, get used to it, and let's call it a day.
