I think I am doing it all wrong

When I am in love, I am devoted

I treat love the same way people treat religion

I please them, and ignore what I want as long as it is what they want

I do not care about my needs, because I do not have any

I do not have any good references

I see old people’s love, and it is depressing

I see my past relationships, and it is depressing

I keep wanting to save people that need to save themselves

I am needy, and pleasant, and I fawn

I know how I want to be fulfilled, but I can not have that with the kind of people I fall for

I think I am doing it all wrong​
