    I took a drive
for a look at a trail
    I am considering to hike.

    Fact is,
some trails look somewhat familiar but
sometimes you could see a deer, other times, a cougar.

I don’t know if the country side
was ever home or just some part of my past
but it amuses me, like something I can’t resist.

I don’t want start talking about
growing up in Reynosa but the music of Juan Gabriel
makes me feel younger than I already am. Yes, every time I listen to him
on the trail, on the freeways or a memory of a warm concert night long gone.

Sometimes, roads are like paths of pleasant memories.
This poem sounds like a journey to a sunny past.
    I like it.
    Have a nice week, Fidel,
    happy Monday to you.

    Hi Cecy,
happy Monday to you as well.
Starting today I’m on vacation for two weeks and on Wednesday I am heading to Texas to see family I got on both sides of the border,
and while at it, I may be taking down the damn unfinished wall.

Honestly, I think I'm the free spirit in the family. As a young man I spend more time with my godparents, grandmother, working and on pick nicks than in my house. There are lots of trails close by, the high country just 80 miles to the east, the ocean 80 miles the opposite way, California 5 hrs. south and Seattle 5 hrs. north in the freeway. Indeed, having the experience of breathing the fresh air from the forest, when possible, is a gorgeous, luxuriant journey to the point of feeling like a bear or sometimes like an eagle.

Thanks for the joy of bringing me back to the journey of this response and best wishes to you.

    Yours,
    Fidel Guerra.
