leisure day in the rain

Poetry occasionally
comes, but it never
intends to stay.

In spite of this, it comes
from a place where you wouldn't
think about it, and this is who I am...

a wannabe
and, on that, just like
my outside strolls, I’m clear.

Not Mexico City, Madrid, Buenos Aires,
Santiago, Bogota, Havana, Paris, or any other
major city of literary nests, I am from Reynosa.

This poem was inspired
by the idea that it was all written
by you, not by me. Yet, just like my pee,
there is clearly some beer influence here.
