memories

I got kicked in the crotch once…not by the cops….
I was playing soccer, ummm, back in 1994…I don’t know where I am going with this but…
oh yeah, I remember I wanted that special spray they use now, you know, for the pain and
smell, but the coach gave me just plain ice and zero sympathy. Walk it off.! He said.

What I wanted to share about memories is that
these seem to be related, always, with something from the past
but I believe that these can be, as well, an accurate glimpse
into the future.

Anyway, too many hits to the head
my memory is failing me, I’ll get back to it someday,
but please, don’t forget my poem that I forgot most of.

Take care of yourself! I can sympathize. Once, while playing soccer, someone stepped on my toe, and later the toenail came off, but a new one grew back.

I think the coach, a great one from San Salvador did a wonderful job. He had a bucket full of ideas or experiences dealing with injuries since his days of being himself a soccer player in Central America.

Man, after a gazillion days past since this memory, even thinking about it hurts again, just a bit.
But I’ll be sincere Chato....el pelotazo me dejo la cosa algo chata.
