I believe that every now
and then, we all need to take
a break from one another, and
from the city of our imaginations.
The wakeful thought
occurs during quiet times,
and it drives me crazy since
I'm not sure if I should stay or leave.
Spending a few days
riding my bicycle would be the best
thing I can think of to give my head a break.
But even if I go, my problems won't be solved.
My heart and mind are constantly on the lookout
for any opportunity to be distracted from my mundane
tasks by a scent, a sound made by the leaves, a breeze, or a lovely poem.
