The detachment of the ego

I never realized how difficult it is to see it all within your love

Love is kind, and freedom, and protection

Love understands, is empathy, is open-minded

Is not your insecurities, is not wanting someone to be yours, is wanting someone to be happy

Even if the formula of that happiness doesn’t have your name on it

Where the ego talks, the love hides

The detachment seems impossible, we all have it, it lives in our heads all the time

But the learning of differentiate it, is when you really start to love

You don’t want anything to be yours

You just want the time you can enjoy with everything

Until the universe decides is time to step away

You want to appreciate as long as you can, you want to be grateful

Even when nothing is yours but yourself

Love is also learning to love yourself

Love yourself so you can love others, and believe me, I know it sound cliché, and even impossible, but

Am I not able to dream with a world that’s not ruled by our egos?

I believe I can, because even if nothing is perfect

I know we can be better, we can love better

If only we could learn
