too much too little

I wrote this song, story or poem
in those quiet moments behind the wheel,
those last 400 miles coming home to Springfield.

It seems fitting to have you
in my space the evening before
I quietly rewrite my simple mind.

Sometimes
I feel separated from the era I live in
and drink too much to write so little.

I’m in awe with your songs,
of being in your midst and
in this moment in time,
don’t you know?

made us all feel like shit, lonely, even hornier, but hopefully
we’ll do our best to make things better, otherwise we are
going to keep fighting on this Covid mother..f..

The mistery of time...
Only one old song takes away our souls to a sweet past, another place, another reality...
I guess it happens frequently and your poem tells that story of travelling across memories.
